Statement
The event of my birth has not yet culminated, it has not been dispelled into the nothingness in the way that a current and common event does, for it has become all future, not like the laws of cause and effect, more like a situation already created which heads towards a result, a consequence. As I wilt, I become a space that occupies a space within a space; I turn into something that is thrown into movement. Even in my dreams I cannot stop myself from seeing or not seeing, feeling or not feeling, suffering or being happy, thinking or resting my thoughts…

Project
2004-2005
4-evidente (4-evident) is the vision of 4 young artists Omar Obdulio Peña Forty, Kristine Serviá, Carlos Rodriguez and Jason Mena. With their sensibility they manage to grasp all those things that are found hidden behind the veil of “the evident”, responding visually to the human need of being declared. Finding answers in the different interpretations made by the spectator, who is continuously giving life and spirit to all the experiences that materialize in a work of art. Finding the total sense that involves the creative act.
2005-2007
Co-Founder of =DESTO, a non-profit organization whose objective is to unify the collective acts with the artistic effort and employ them as instruments of cultural exploration. The mission is to cultivate a critical and open atmosphere that promotes the experimentation and the development of new dialogues into the contemporary arts and into the community in general.
This is done through a series of events, exhibitions and educational activities that involve the public with an emerging artistic production.

The River’s Edge Film Festival was a four day event built around the showing of quality independent film from around the world. The focus was both on the film lover, providing multiple venues in which to experience the best the world of cinema has to offer, and on the film maker, offering opportunities for exhibition, education, and networking with contemporaries.
The festival was held in multiple venues, including Maiden Alley Cinema, Market House Theatre and Yeiser Art Center, which are all within walking distance of one another.

The New Media Festival 07 had artists who participated from different countries and nationalities, from within the country and abroad.
Curating focuses on hardcore themes, understood as a new aesthetic category in Contemporary Art. Hardcore Art is defined as art towards a new activism (Jerome Sans, Hardcore Art, 2003, Palais de Tokio, Paris, France); Hardcore Art questions cultural statements, and breaks through social stereotypes and fossilized art forms: new media materials on DVD, digital photography, and video-performance. In this event there was a spotlight on critical axes, cultural politics as well as registers of personal mythologies.
